Can baking soda be used as an antacid?
Baking soda can indeed be used as an antacid because the pH of an antacid is between 8.5 to 10.5 and the pH of baking soda is 9, therefore it is safe to use as an antacid. Antacids are made of sodium bicarbonate and so is baking soda.
